Plenty of hotels in Limassol have sea-view terraces, but only a handful of bars actually sit on a roof. These four describe themselves as rooftop bars on their own websites or official pages as of October 2026: one about 15 km by road east of the castle in Agios Tychonas, and three in and around the old town, each within a ten-minute walk of Limassol Castle.
The most polished is The Rooftop Bar on level 8 of AMARA, the five-star hotel at 95 Amathus Avenue in Agios Tychonas. It seats 70, serves cocktails and tapas, and shares its evenings with the hotel's restaurants: in 2026 its booking page lists a Matsuhisa rooftop menu on Wednesdays, Beefbar on Thursdays, and Locatelli aperitivo evenings and Asian nights from Friday to Sunday. It opens Wednesday to Sunday from 18:00 to 01:00, with last food orders at 22:30 and last drinks at 00:30, and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Booking is recommended, online through the hotel's website or on +357 25 442222.
AMARA's door rules are strict. The dress code is smart casual, which here means no distressed jeans, sleeveless shirts, flip-flops or swimwear, and children under 16 are not allowed. Smoking is permitted on the terrace. The hotel lists no winter closure and was taking table bookings into January 2027 when we checked in October, but confirm the date when you book a winter visit.
In the old town, Ethers Roof Bar is on the 13th floor of the NYX Hotel, on the corner of Anexartisias and Christodoulou Hadjipavlou streets, about ten minutes' walk north-east of the castle. Its terrace looks out over the old town to the sea, and it is the only one of the four that publishes winter hours: 10:30 to 01:00 from May to October and 10:00 to midnight from November to April, closed on Monday nights. The bar's menu, last published in 2024, lists an Aperol Spritz, a mojito or an espresso martini at 12 EUR, a brandy sour at 10 EUR and a 33 cl KEO at 5 EUR. The rooftop pool beside it is for hotel guests only, so ring +357 25 371111 to check that outside guests can come up for a drink. Mizu-Mazu, the Asian restaurant on the same floor, takes outside guests by reservation.
Down at Limassol Marina, about ten minutes' walk south-west of the castle, the Marina Roof Bar sits on top of TGI Fridays, which runs it. The marina's own directory promises 360-degree views and music under the stars. TGI Fridays also hires out the whole roof for parties of at least 50, with 2026 open-bar packages at 32 EUR a head, or 40 EUR with premium spirits. It publishes no regular opening hours, so ring TGI Fridays Limassol Marina on +357 25 051 500 before you go, especially outside the summer.
Coa Rooftop Bar, at Genethliou Mitella 42, is the closest to the castle, about three minutes' walk to the north-east, and serves cocktails and food on its roof. It has no website: its Facebook page calls it a rooftop bar in the heart of the old town and takes reservations by message, and its Instagram account was still posting in August 2026. Neither page publishes opening hours, so message ahead for a table.
Two rules apply at every bar on the island. Cypriot law bans serving alcohol to anyone under 18 and names an ID card or passport as the proof of age, so carry one if you could pass for younger. Smoking is banned inside bars but allowed in their open-air areas, and AMARA's rooftop allows it.
