Camel Park Mazotos is the only camel park in Cyprus, according to both the park and the Larnaka Tourism Board. It lies on the Kiti to Mazotos road on the outskirts of Mazotos village, in Larnaca district, south-west of Larnaca town. The park began in 1998 as a camel farm run by its family owners; the newspaper Simerini reported in 2017 that the first 25 camels were imported, and a 2015 magazine interview gave Israel as the herd's country of origin. Today the park says it keeps about 60 camels, each with its own name, and its September 2026 map also shows an enclosure of two-humped Bactrian camels.

More than 100 animals live in the park. Besides the camels, the park and its 2026 map name donkeys, ponies, goats, deer, ostriches, lemurs (here since 2020), fish and birds. Feeding them is part of the visit: bags of dried carob pods are sold at the entrance, and the park allows only that feed, because food brought from home can make the animals ill.

The camel ride is the park's biggest attraction by its own account, a safari ride through the countryside on a marked route that loops outside the main grounds and starts and finishes at the camel ride point on the park map. It costs 7 EUR for adults and 5 EUR for children; pony and donkey rides cost 5 EUR. The park does not publish how long a ride lasts or any minimum age, so ask at the ticket office before you join the queue.

The lemur encounter costs 5 EUR: about 5 minutes of feeding and stroking the lemurs, with a keeper handing out the treats. A safari train ride costs 3 EUR. For younger children there are play areas with swings and a slide, a bouncy castle, bumper cars, kids' mini carts, mini golf, an indoor room of coin-operated rides and a free hall of mirrors, and a small museum shows what Visit Cyprus calls the traditional Cypriot way of life.

From April to October the entry ticket includes the swimming pool, with a smaller pool for young children beside it; sunbeds are subject to availability, and in summer the pool area sells snacks and hot and cold drinks.

You cannot bring your own food or drink into the park, so plan to eat there. The restaurant's day menu runs daily from 09:00 to 18:30 between April and October and from 09:00 to 17:00 between November and March, with salads, grills, burgers, pizzas and a children's menu (chicken nuggets 6 EUR, a mini burger 5 EUR). The night menu, served every evening except Sunday and Tuesday from 19:00 (17:00 in winter) to 22:30, is Cypriot: sheftalies 15 EUR, koupepia 16 EUR, beef stifado 20 EUR, or a meat or vegetarian meze at 20 to 30 EUR a person. In October 2026 the park was also advertising live music on Friday evenings.

The park opens every day, bank holidays included, from 09:00 to 19:00 between April and October and from 09:00 to 17:00 between November and March, according to its opening hours page and Visit Cyprus; its FAQ says 9:00 to sunset, so check before a late-afternoon visit in winter. Entry costs 8 EUR for adults and 5 EUR for children. Tickets are sold only at the entrance, so you can turn up when you like without booking. Dogs are not allowed. By car the park is about 14 km and 20 minutes from Larnaca Airport, about 20 km and under half an hour from central Larnaca, and about 56 km, just under an hour, from Limassol (our estimates from OpenStreetMap routing, without traffic). Bus 407 runs from Larnaca's main bus station via the airport, Meneou and Kiti to a stop called Camel Park, in about 35 minutes, with around five departures on weekdays; weekend times differ, so check the current timetable on cyprusbybus.com before you rely on it.

Three stops nearby make a longer day of it. The Costas Argyrou Museum, an art museum in Mazotos village, is 2 minutes' drive away and opens Wednesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 16:30 from October to May, except public holidays. The 11th-century Panagia Angeloktisti church in Kiti, about 9 minutes away, keeps a rare 6th-century mosaic of the Virgin and Child between the archangels Michael and Gabriel. Faros beach by the Cape Kiti lighthouse, about 17 minutes away, has calm, shallow water.
